Berbicara mengenai spesifikasi, Zenfone 2 Deluxe hadir dengan RAM super besar yang mencapai 4 GB (seperti laptop masa kini), layar sentuh Full HD dengan lebar 5.5 inci, balutan antar muka Zen UI, perlindungan layar dengan Corning Gorilla Glass 3, kamera belakang 13 megapixel ditambah auto focus dan LED Flash, kamera depan berresolusi 5 megapixel fixed focus, baterai non removeable berkapasitas 3000 mAh, Bluetooth, Wifi, 4G, 3G, NFC, dan fitur standar lainnya.

Prosesor ini pada dasarnya masih sama dengan Asus Zenfone 2 lawas, hanya saja pada Zenfone 2 Deluxe memiliki clock yang mencapai 2.3 Ghz. Untuk masalah GPU, kini Asus tidak tanggung-tanggung. Pada versi Zenfone 2 Deluxe ZE551ML, Asus menancapkan GPU dari PowerVR dengan seri G6430 yang sudah sangat mumpuni untuk bermain games. Sedangkan pada sektor software, Asus mempercayakan Android Lollipop 5.1 dan Zen UI sebagai antar mukanya.
